The idol stated, “I went on a diet to change my image. I lost 8kg (~17lbs) in a month. I ate only 1/4 of rice that I used to eat and ate chicken breasts along with bananas. I also worked out at night by running on the treadmill“.

C.N Blue Jung Yonghwa no longer wears his cuple ring

Netizens spotted something missing on CN Blue’s leader, Jung Yonghwa’s finger during the press conference for CN Blue’s new album release at Seoul Yeongdeunpo Times Square on March 21st. It was none other than the YongSeo couple ring.

As he was holding a microphone during the press conference, netizens discovered that Jung Yonghwa no longer wears his couple ring, the emblem of him and Seohyun, the Goguma couple who ‘tied their knot’ on MBC’s ‘We Got Married (WGM)’.

According to the producer, the recording of the last episode took place on the 14th and in just a week after that, the ring was nowhere to be seen on Yonghwa’s finger.

The couple rings were purchased when the couple first met on WGM while they were on a date in Shindang-dong. Towards the end of the YongSeo series, they took wedding photos for their first (and also the last) anniversary.

Since both of them has to fulfill their busy schedules as artistes, they had to end their ‘marriage’ on WGM which started in February 2010.

CN BLUE MinHyuk will be in the upcoming drama 'Festival' with Yonghwa !

Korean rock band CNBLUE member Kang Min-hyuk has said he has been cast in a new MBC TV series starring leader Jung Yong-hwa.

Kang made the remark during a press conference marking the release of the band’s first full-length album “FIRST STEP” held in Seoul, South Korea on Monday in response to a reporter asking about each member’s recent activities.

“I’ll be taking on the role of Yeo Jun-hee in the upcoming drama ‘Festival’ with Jung Yong-hwa,” Kang said. “I hope that I’ll get the chance to show that I have grown as an actor.”

Kang has appeared on both the small and big screen before including in daily series “I’m Okay Daddy” and omnibus film “Acoustic.”

Meanwhile, the group went onto to explain how they all took part in writing, composing and arranging nine out of a total 12 tracks on the album and introduced several of the songs as well as revealing the music video for title track “Intuition” for the first time ever from “FIRST STEP” which went on sale today.

“We shot the music video in Japan and it was a lot of fun even though it took all night to do so,” Jung said, while the other members spoke about how they liked how cool they looked in the video.

Composed of other members Lee Jung-shin and Lee Jong-hyun, CNBLUE made their debut in Korea early last with their hit single “Alone” and mini-album “Bluetory” after releasing two singles in Japan.

They shot to instant fame in Korea with Jung’s appearance in popular TV series “He is Beautiful” (SBS, 2009) alongside actors Jang Keun-suk, Park Shin-hye and Lee Hong-ki.

CNBLUE has also led a successful music career overseas, going double platinum in Taiwan and placing in the top ranks of the prestigious Oricon chart in Japan. They have also held several fan meetings and concerts in the country which were attended by several thousand fans.

Outside of their group activities, the boys have expanded their careers in the entertainment industry, appearing in dramas, movies and a number of variety shows.

CNBLUE will officially kick off their promotional event for “FIRST STEP” with their guerilla concert later on tonight.

On March 11th, producers of the show confirmed, “There’s an end to everything. We have been carefully discussing their leave for a while now. It was a difficult decision, and both are very disappointed with the reports that got out before we could finalize everything. Contrary to what’s been reported, the ending has not been shot yet, and it will be sometime next month. The ending will be made as beautifully as possible to reflect what the couple wants.”

They added, “We’ve been searching for replacement couples since six months ago. The new line-up hasn’t been finalized yet, but there are a few that we’re keeping a close eye on. We’ll begin to prepare for the new changes now.”

CN Blue Yonghwa and Park Shin Hye will be act together for a new drama

The two have been asked to star in Producer Pyo Min Soo’s new MBC drama, ‘Festival’, which is planned to air in June.

“‘Festival’ is a youth melo drama based on a school of performing arts,” a production staff member relayed while on the phone with Newsen on the 24th. The staff member explained, ”The male lead is a band member at school. We couldn’t decide between choosing an actor who could play an instrument or a singer. We offered the role to Jung Yonghwa because he has acted before.”

Jung Yonghwa is seriously considering taking the role. His agency FNC Music confirmed that Yonghwa did get the offer, but his conflict lies with CNBLUE’s comeback, slated for the fourth week of March.

Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye’s agency Aba Entertainment said that they liked the story-line. “We think Park Shin Hye can show off her charm by acting as a lively young girl,” said the agency. “The script is funny. We are currently in talks with the production team, and we’ll decide soon.” Park Shin Hye, who starred in the movie ‘Cyrano: Dating Agency’, is about to begin classes at Joongang University.

To this furious fans of Daesung protested for the comments left and Yonghwa’s fans then continued,“‘Daesungah’s face is a little’…I should have stopped there“, increasing the fight to 3 times it’s size.

FT Island’s Lee Hongki will be taking the place of CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa as a ‘one-day’ MC on this week’s episode of SBS’s “Inkigayo.”

Due to personal reasons, Jung Yonghwa will not be able to MC this week. Considering how Lee Hongki already has experience as a previous “Inkigayo” MC, and was much loved for his witty commentary, he seemed like the natural choice to sub in.

Representatives of SBS commented, “Lee Hongki, who’s standing as the MC after a long while, is excited and looking forward to working with his juniors, Jo Kwon and Sulli.”

SNSD Seohyun and CN Blue Jung Yonghwa’s ‘Banmal Song’ will not be released officially

It seems that Seohyun and Jung Yonghwa’s ‘Banmal Song’ will not be released officially, despite huge demand and anticipation from fans.

The ‘Banmal Song’ was composed and sung by Seohyun and Yonghwa on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’. The music and the lyrics for the chorus was written by Yonghwa while Seohyun helped to complete some other parts of the lyrics. The couple uploaded the ‘Banmal Song’ video clip on Youtube and to date, it has recorded more than a million views.

However, despite its popularity, this song might not be released officially. On January 5th, CN BLUE’s agency told Newsen, “There will not be a duet. Even if CN BLUE plan to release it as their own song, the part of the lyrics Seohyun composed will not be included”.

A representative in charge of MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ said, “The song was composed based on Yonghwa and Seohyun’s feeling of being in love. That is why the song is so meaningful to them”.
