CN Blue Yonghwa and Park Shin Hye will be act together for a new drama

The two have been asked to star in Producer Pyo Min Soo’s new MBC drama, ‘Festival’, which is planned to air in June.

“‘Festival’ is a youth melo drama based on a school of performing arts,” a production staff member relayed while on the phone with Newsen on the 24th. The staff member explained, ”The male lead is a band member at school. We couldn’t decide between choosing an actor who could play an instrument or a singer. We offered the role to Jung Yonghwa because he has acted before.”

Jung Yonghwa is seriously considering taking the role. His agency FNC Music confirmed that Yonghwa did get the offer, but his conflict lies with CNBLUE’s comeback, slated for the fourth week of March.

Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye’s agency Aba Entertainment said that they liked the story-line. “We think Park Shin Hye can show off her charm by acting as a lively young girl,” said the agency. “The script is funny. We are currently in talks with the production team, and we’ll decide soon.” Park Shin Hye, who starred in the movie ‘Cyrano: Dating Agency’, is about to begin classes at Joongang University.

Park Shin revealed that her dream is to become a radio DJ. She commented, "I worked as a DJ temporarily and it was hard. I heard Leeteuk's radio and he's really good. I want to know his know how." Leeteuk who has been a radio DJ for 5 years replied, "if you do it with me, it won't be hard" which made everyone laugh.

Also, when asked about Eunhyuk who is currently working as a DJ with him, Leeteuk said, "it's time for him to quit" which made everyone in the studio burst out laughing.

Actress Park Shin Hye has ruled herself out of upcoming drama Playful Kiss (or It Started With a Kiss) which has already confirmed the lead male role to be SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, leaving many fans disappointed.

Park Shin Hye stated, “Even though I haven’t seen the script yet, I really wanted to participate in this drama. But I felt that I wasn’t ready to work on this though, especially because I have many other activities to attend to, I’m sorry.”

Park Shin Hye new movie 'Cyrano Agency"

The movie took its motif from French picture “Cyrano de Bergerac” helmed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau and starring French actor Gerard Depardieu.

Park will star in the Korean pic alongside actor Uhm Tae Woong as matchmakers who work at the same agency.

The film will be helmed by director Kim Hyun-suk who is well-known for directing movies “Scout” and “When Romance Meets Destiny.” He was also one of the screen writers for “Joint Security Area.”

Park made her debut in 1994 and has starred in numerous dramas and movies including “Stairway to Heaven,” “Goong S,” and “You’re Beautiful” She is also a familiar face in television commercials and music videos.

“Cyrano Agency” is set to begin filming on April 19 and is scheduled for release in September over the Chuseok thanksgiving holidays.

Jang Geun Seok Mom loves Park Shin Hye

Actor Jang Geun Seok was on KBS 2TV ‘Jang GeunSeok Ideal Type World Cup special’ recently when he talked about the special relationship he had with actress Park Shin Hye, they both starred in recent drama ‘You’re Beautiful.

He said, “My mother has once said that she really like Park ShinHye, who lives in the same neighborhood. There was even once when she told me to try out with Park ShinHye as a couple.”

And when asked how it went, Jang Geun Seok, “We hit well together. And so my mother asked me to invite Park ShinHye to our house.”

He also revealed that he had really liked Ha JiWon when he was working with her on KBS drama ‘Hwang JinYi’.

Park Shin Hye is heading to Nepal

Heading to Nepal for six days as part of KBS1’s Love Request. Like stars who have gone on similar trips before her, the program will follow Park as she donates books and school materials to children growing up in difficult circumstances, many of whom put education on the back burner in order to earn money at a stone quarry.

She leaves for Nepal on December 17 and returns on the 22nd, after which she has appearances scheduled for the 29th, 30th, and 31st at a music function and awards ceremonies.

The Love Request program will air on KBS1 on December 26.
