After being hit with a lawsuit yesterday by KARA’s Seungyeon, Nicole, and Jiyoung, DSP Media released an official statement about their position on February 14th.

Through a press report, the agency stated,

“Because we were not delivered the accusation yet, we will speak with a lawyer once it is delivered and take the appropriate action then. Aside from the lawsuit, we will do our absolute best to ensure that KARA’s future activities are fulfilled.

Their claims of flawed income distribution is a huge distortion. All of the payments made by DSP Media were done according to their contracts, and this will be further confirmed through the process of the lawsuit.

The legal process has begun, and we hope that the three KARA members will refrain from making one-sided claims that are unconfirmed. DSP Media will also be refraining from making any statements outside of the legal discussion, like we have done thus far. We will be prioritizing KARA’s future, no matter the lawsuit. DSP Media will make sure that this controversy is resolved in an amicable matter.

Before the three members of KARA filed the lawsuit, we have made repeated attempts to resolve the situation. While we were looking forward to discussions and for misunderstandings to be resolved, the lawsuit has taken us by surprise.”

KARA Seungyeon canceled her contract termination

Following Goo Hara, who previously canceled her contract termination, it seems that the possibility of Han Seungyeon reversing her decision is high.

A representative of DSP Media spoke with TV Report on January 20th and stated, “There’s a possibility of one of the three members that filed for contract terminations returning, so we are trying not to let go of the hope. In the “Me, Me” segment of the show, the members were asked to choose which option would be scarier – a scandal or a fight with another girl group?

Surprisingly, KARA expressed that they’d rather get into a scandal, which led to the question of whether they had anybody particular in mind. Without hesitation, member Goo Hara replied, “Han Seung Yeon is a hardcore fan of Kang Dong Won. I’d like for them to get entangled in a scandal.”

Han Seung Yeon elaborated, “I really like him and even make sure to watch his latest advertisements.“ When further asked what she would do if he proposed to her, she merely replied with a shy, sweet smile.

Seung Yeon expressed, “I’m upset in not having a chance to see him because of his service in the military.” She also received the opportunity to send an on-the-spot video letter for the actor, for which she cutely created a heart with her hands.

Infinite Woohyun likes KARA Han Seungyeon

Kara’s member Han Seungyeon recieved a proposal from Infinite’s member.

Through MBC Youth Variety ‘Bouquet’ which will be aired on the 12th, Infinite’s member Woohyun confessed that he was always Han Seungyeon’s fan and showed his affection.

Woohyun confessed his heart by singing Lee Seunggi’s ‘Because noona is my girl’. It was seen that Han Seungyeon seemed flustered for a second but the stated “Dongseng seems like a man now!”


Not only this but Woohyun called Seungyeon “Yeonbo” and said “I can only see Seungyeon!” He showed off his heart to her which got many jealous.

KARA's Han Seungyeon wans to being a translator

Kara's Han Seungyeon shared her dream of being a translator.

In tvN's "Taxi" that was broadcasted on April 1st, Kara members shared their future dreams after the end of Kara.

Han Seungyeon, from the question of what they want to do after Kara ends, answered that she wants to learnEnglish and be a translator. She also add that she wants a quiet job, which contradicts with her current job.

Nicole answered that her dream is to own a restaurent where she wants to work as a patissier (a person who makes bread and the like).

Goo Hara responded that as well as preparing for university, she wants to be an actress, showing her. And for leader Park Gyuri, once a child actress, she wants a job where she can communicate with people, like a job she had when she was young, expressing her passion for acting.

Maknae Kang Jiyoung said that since she is still in a starting phase, she will do her best simply as a Kara member.

Meanwhile in this episode Kara members enjoyed a pleasant dinner in Nicole's mother's restaurant.

KARA Han SeungYeon attempts the bungee jump without hesitation proving her nickname of ‘fearless idol’.

On MBC Infinite Challenge aired on 20th March, SeungYeon attempted the bungee jump at 55m tall showing no fear. As she jumped she even shouted “KARA daebak! I love you!”.

She said, “My dream is to be a housewife.” That’s a weird sentence to hear since it’s coming from a celebrity.
