After School Kahi revealed her ideal man

In a recent interview with Asia Economy, After School’s Kahi revealed the traits of her ideal man, as well as the age she hopes to get married by.

She began, “I‘m not dating anyone at the moment, but I’d like to meet someone who knows how to respect women.”

When asked about her ideal type, she replied, “Someone who can warmly hold me in their arms, and is also dependable. I’d like for that person to always be confident with their work and genuinely enjoy it.”

On her marriage plans, she revealed, “I don’t have immediate plans, but I’m thinking I should get married within the next four to five years. I’ll be 36 or 37 then, so I should be married by then.”

After School’s UEE selected as popular idol among the male idols.

On SBS Lunar New Year special program “Idol King”, idols flew together from Seoul to Thailand. Just before the plane took off, There was a mini couple selection to sit with each other. and UEE had the most number of votes.

The male idols have to approach the female idols and ask, “Is this seat taken?”. Female idols need to sat still and answer the boys’ question.

First, Bigbang’s Seungri proposed to 4Minute’s Hyuna. Then followed by SHINee’s Minho who proposed Kara’s goo Hara, and 2PM’s Chansung proposed T-ara’s Hyomin.

But the most popular is “Healthy Beauty” UEE. Park Jungmin and SHINee’s Onew selected UEE, but UEE picked Onew instead of Park Jungmin. 2AM’s Jinwoon also wanted to sit next to UEE. Once again, UEE dumped Onew and selected Jinwoon over Onew.

In a recent interview with Sports Today, F.CUZ’s Kan revealed his affections for Orange Caramel’s Raina.

Kan was asked whether he had any girl group members on his mind, to which he replied, “Recently, I’ve been noticing Raina a lot more. I’ve been a fan of After School, and lately, our promotion cycles have been overlapping so I see her often on music programs. I get a lot of encouragement from seeing Raina.”

After School's Kahi is preparing for her solo debut

After School’s Kahi has been postponing her solo debut since late last year, but her agency has finally confirmed that they’ve got an end date in sight.

On January 4th, a representative of Pledis Entertainment revealed to TV Report, “The overall concept of the album is done. Kahi will be making her solo debut before After School’s official comeback.”

The reason for the delay was revealed to be Kahi’s inability to pick a suitable title track. Aside from the title track, the album is nearly complete. To allow Kahi more time to better perfect her album, Pledis had Orange Caramel come back earlier than planned, which was followed by a charity album promotion involving the whole group. With the group’s promotions already complete, Pledis found little reason to to delay the album any longer.

The representative continued, “Although she has yet to choose her title track, she will definitely be making her solo debut by February, before After School’s comeback this March.”

After School Kahi shed a few tears in SBS's 'Heroes'

After School’s leader Kahi (31) shared a personal story from her pre-debut days which led the idol to shed a few tears.

On this week’s SBS’s ‘Heroes’, Kahi stood in front of senior high school students awaiting their graduation, and talked about her age difference with fellow member Lizzy.

“It’s sad but even if we do the same job, you get better opportunities when you start at a younger age. I loved dancing so much but my grandfather was heavily against it. I came to Seoul and began a part time job without any specific plans. With the help of a composer friend, I then started to work as a free lance dancer. Whether it’s singing or something else, I told myself I’d try everything and jumped into it.”

When one student asked whether she ever had thoughts on quitting, Kahi replied, “I grew up in the hands of my grandfather and grandmother. When I worked as a back dancer for BoA, my grandfather was in the hospital. Since we were preparing for a big event, I couldn’t visit him at the hospital, but then I got a call that he suddenly passed away,” and began to shed tears.

She continued, “At the time, I had doubts as to why I was doing this job. I wasn’t even a singer, but I was living as a back dancer and I couldn’t even be with my grandfather during his last moments. I hated myself so much, and I wanted to quit right away.”

Kahi concluded, “After my grandfather passed, I thought that even my grandfather wouldn’t be happy if I quit just like that,” and made the whole class silent in admiration.

After School's Kahi have experience running away from home

After School’s Kahi shared her experience running away from home when she was younger.

On the December 26th episode of SBS’s ‘Heroes‘, Kahi stated, “I also have experience running away from home.”

The ‘Heroes’ members, who were acting as counselors for lucky students at one high school, were asked many questions. One male student, while speaking with Kahi, asked her how he should repent for worrying his parents by running away from home.

Kahi then admitted, “I am also someone who had run away from home before. I rebelled against my father in order to follow the career I wanted. It was bad.”

She gave the boy some earnest advice based on her own experience, saying, “I told my father, ‘Please trust me’. I hope you try to act responsible and study hard to show your parents good grades.“

MBLAQ Mir and KARA Hara,investigated the relationship between GO and After School Jooyeon

On the August 6th episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Invincible Youth’, MBLAQ guest-starred to help the G7 members (Narsha, Goo Hara, Hyomin, Sunhwa, Victoria, JooYeon, and Sori) gather farm crops.

A “pink” atmosphere between the MBLAQ members and G7 appeared.

MBLAQ’s G.O showed an active image by doing a ‘rifle dance’ from the very beginning to indicate his feelings. G7, who saw this dance, all stated that “they were the ones to receive it”, but the one he was gesturing to was After School’s JooYeon.

G.O stated, “We’ve known each other for quite a while”, and the ‘Invincible Youth’ members joked, “Are you guys long-time lovers?”.
