On February 14th, a representative of SBS’s variety team spoke through Star News and revealed, “The new cast had their first recording on the 13th at SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘ studio. There will be a big idol cast with a ‘mellow line’ between them. Other older actors and singers will also be taking part.”

He continued, “Although the broadcast date hasn’t been finalized yet, we’re aiming for a March release.”

Jaebeom send Happy Birthday wish to 2PM Nichkhun

It has been reported that Jay Park and 2PM Nichkhun exchanged text messages for Nichkhun’s birthday.
During an interview with Daily Sports, Jay said, “I sent a text message on the 24th of June to say happy birthday to Nichkhun, and received a reply saying thank you. I’ve never contacted or met with the members but we don’t have a bad relationship. I’m happy that 2PM are doing well.”

However, when asked whether he keeps in contact with other JYPE artists such as the Wonder Girls, he replied “I don’t think there is any reason for me to talk about my social life.”

He continued to say a message to 2PM. “I’m happy that the members’ album and other activities are going well. I’ll always be supporting them. If I ever get to see the other members, I’ll ask how they are doing. I’d like for us to be friends.”

On MBC We Got Married aired on 10th July, Nich Khun and Victoria were having a date in Seoul HongDae to celebrate their ‘marriage’ when WooYoung and JunHo paid them a visit.

WooYoung had told Victoria on the show, “Nich Khun is a club maniac.” And Victoria asked, “So does Nich Khun just drink at clubs?” WooYoung then answered, “He goes straight to the stage.”

Nich Khun then defended himself, “WooYoung was just joking. I don’t mix around with girls. I just dance with the guys.”


And when Victoria said that she doesn’t like going clubs, Nich Khun reassured, “I won’t visit clubs anymore.”

Meanwhile, during the interview on the show that day, Nich Khun talked about WooYoung’s comment on him going to clubs, “I want to beat him.”

On MBC We Got Married on 3rd July, make-believe couple Nich Khun and Victoria went to a restaurant where they ate samkyeopsal and also to a karaoke together.

And Victoria requested for Nich Khun to sing the song ‘Nothing Better’ by Brown Eyed Soul which he sang on SBS Star King. And Nich Khun sang the song even though he said that he couldn’t sing.

Victoria said in her interview on the show, “I saw him perform that once on a variety show, but I want to listen to him sing to me,” explaining why she had asked him to sing the song.


On the show that day, the 2 sent out text messages to their team mates to announce their ‘marriage’ and the reply Victoria got from f(x) Sulli was, “We had a father now.”

When Nich Khun asked why Sulli would call him an oppa, Victoria said, “Because I’m the eldest unnie, they call me by mother.”

2PM's Nichkhun has met a hardcore fan in America.

In a recent video uploaded on Youtube of 2PM opening for the Wonder Girls American tour, 2PM was in the middle of singing 10/10 when a fan suddenly took off her underwear and threw it on stage towards Nichkhun. Nichkhun seemed surprised for a second but continued to concentrate on the performance along with a cute butt dance. Fans began chanting the members' names and even sang along to the song in Korean.

Throwing undergarments up on stage has become a regular occurrence in American performances such as Cliff Richard's Korean concert, where a number of college students threw their underwear on stage. 'Nichkhun's underwear event' has just become another confirmation that 2PM has a lot of popularity in America.

Regarding this, JYP Entertainment met with T-news and stated, "Different countries have different performance cultures. 2PM has safely completed their American performances and has returned to Korea. They will soon be preparing for their Korean concerts. 2AM will be the opening act from now on so we request that you give them a lot of interest."

2PM Nichkhun said 'At first I thought Junsu from Thailand'

Nichkhun of 6-member group 2PM revealed a time he mistook Junsu for Thai.

On the 8th on the 2010 World Cup Special of SBS 'Strong Heart," Nichkhun started with, "When I couldn't speak Korean well, I received a lot of misunderstanding."

According to him, when he couldn't speak any Korean at all, he memorized the phrase 'Hello, I am from Thailand.' Nichkhun said, "One day I went to the company for the first time and I happened to see a trainee who said, 'Hello, I am from Thailand.' Nichkhun said, "I was so happy to see that trainee."

Nichkhun continued, "I realized later that that trainee was Junsu, from Daegu," and "Junsu misunderstood my bad pronunciation of Thailand as Daegu and was happy to see someone from his own hometown, while I thought Junsu was from Thailand and was happy to see him," he revealed, making everyone laugh. [T/N: In Korean, 'Thailand' is pronounced 'Taeguk,' while Daegu is of course 'Daegu,' so they sound similar].
