Younha,said ' I do get jealous of IU popularity'

Singer Younha recently expressed her honest thoughts about her ‘rival’, IU.

During an interview on OBS’s “Unique Entertainment News”, Younha was asked to reveal her thoughts about being consistently compared to IU. Younha replied, “I do get jealous of her popularity, but both our tones and song styles are really different.”

She continued, “I look over IU with a motherly smile. We have an unsuspiciously large age difference too. We’re 6 years apart, but it would be an honor for me if people could see us in the same light. I’d be really thankful. I hope we can both do well.”

Younha to be discharged from the hospital

Singer Younha who was admitted to the hospital for a high fever will be discharged, if early, on the seventh.

Younha on New Years day, was admitted to a hospital in Seoul after she collapsed in exhaustion. Luckily, she was found to not have swine flu but her condition got worse and worried her family, friends, and fans.

Younha's family and friends released to a Korean media that "her condition has improved" and that "during the night her condition sometimes worsens so we are still cautious". They also said that "if she gets better quickly, she will be discharged on the 7th or the 8th."

They have also said that "Younha wants to meet her fans. Because her health is most important, we will make sure she doesn't exhaust herself."

Her agency has said that, "her pneumonia symptoms are gone, but her laryngitis isn't fully healed so she will need continual checkups and treatment."

"Younha felt really bad that she could not keep her promises of performing on the various shows that she canceled. We asked her to take some time off for a rest, but Younha, with her stubbornness to perform wanted to leave the hospital," they added.

Because of her hospitalization, Younha has been unable to perform at all this year. Although Younha should be resting instead, she is choosing to make her return on the 8th for KBS' Music Bank.

Younha is the first victim of Swine flu?

On the 31st of December, Younha had shown signs of an ordinary cold but it seems to have evolved into more. On January 1st, Younha began to have massive headaches and body pains when suddenly she collapsed, and was immediately taken and admitted into the Seoul University Medical Center.

An official said, "Currently her throat is very sore and her coughing is very severe. They've extracted her blood to run tests and she's quite exhausted. The hospital says that there's a chance that it is swine flu and she's already been treated with the Tamiflu, and as of now we're watching carefully over her health." Younha's tests results are to be finished and revealed by the evening of January the 1st.
