SNSD,talk about became a women

Amongst the popular group, 'SNSD', there are 6 members who, on the 18th which is the 'Coming-Of-Age Day, have turned into adults. They are Taeyeon, Tiffany, Yuri, Jessica, Sunny, and Hyoyeon. These girls have grown from 'girls' to dignified 'ladies', carrying an even bigger dream which they plan to achieve. This year, they created a 'Soshi Gee storm' and how will their Coming-Of-Age-Day turn out?

▶Taeyeon: I don't think there was any big change. As much as I've grown into an adult, I'm burdened because I have to be responsible for myself and everything I do.
I don't have any gift that I especially wanted to receive, but I want to try to get a driver's licence.
▶Tiffany: I think I have to be responsible for a lot more things now. On the other hand though, I also feel that I've become younger, like a small child.
I want to receive typical Coming-of-Age Day gifts like perfume and roses. I also want to take a break from everyday life by traveling to places on my own.
▶Yuri: I think I have to be a bit more responsible and be a more mature person. I'm also looking forward to the future.
I wish I received a camera as a gift so I could record precious memories while I'm in the 20's. I want to do fun and exciting things that only someone in their 20's can do.

▶Jessica: I look foward to the coming days now that I'm an adult more than I have for the days that have already passed. I want to receive a camera, just like Yuri.
I want to travel places with my camera while I'm still energetic and able to enjoy myself.
▶Sunny: I think this is another good opportunity to think about my responsibilities again.
I want to have a lovable pet to have with me, even though I know it would be hard to take care of it with busy schedules and a lot of members in the dorm. I also want to learn how to drive with Taeyeon
▶Hyoyeon: I can't believe that I've already reached this age. I still feel young, but I'm burdened by the word "adult". I also want to receive roses and perfume from a boyfriend.
I want to go on a trip with my close friends on "Coming-of-Age Day."

SNSD has arrived at MBC

Female group SNSD is turning rapidly into MBC's leading stars. Actively spreading over drama, radio, or variety, they are willing to do any of the previous fields without fear. You can meet SNSD at MBC, anytime, all through the week. It could be said it has become SNSD's 'Golden Age'.

To start, SNSD's Leader Taeyeon is taking charge of MBC's daily radio broadcasting. Radio listeners can meet her everyday for two hours as she DJs in MBC FM4U(91.9MHz)'s evening program . She has been participating as a solo DJ since last spring, when Superjunior's Kangin left after MBC's reorganization.

During the weekend, SNSD's activities strike again. Tiffany and Yuri are working as MCs in the Saturday program . Last time they entertained the audience singing and dancing together with Son Dambi in her performance.

Then it's time to Pass the baton to Sooyoung, who is taking charge of Sunday morning program 'Fantastic Duo 2'. On Sunday nights SNSD is fully mobilized, appearing in MBC's flagship variety program 's new corner, 'SNSD Horror Factory'. "SNSD is, at present, the leading representatives in the entertainment business, and the new generation's icon. After monitoring over their appearances in various variety programs, we saw their potential and that's why we have selected them as MCs," stated a representative of MBC's variety area.

In the middle of the week you can watch Yoona's acting. Yoona is showing the viewers her ever-growing acting skills as the main female lead in MBC's Wednesday-Thursday miniseries Cinderella Man> (Scriptwriter Jo Yoonyoung - Director Yoo Jungjun). A representative of MBC said, "There is little worry about overlapping any of SNSD's nine members appearance in our shows. We appoint each member to a program that fits them, the right people in the right place."

SNSD Yoona 'Oh this is love'

MyDaily employee Yang Jiwon reporter On the Wednesday, Thursday drama "Cinderella Man", Yoona plays the part of Seo Yoojin and has said she has never had real love before.

On the 28th, Yoona had an interview on the set of "Cinderella Man". She said, "I've liked someone before, but I've never had that feeling of 'Oh, this is love' before".

During the drama, Yoona's character, the bold Seo Yoojin who is studying fashion design in France, is forced to work under Daesan. She and Daesan become a team and they sell clothing at East Gate market. She is acting quite a charming role.

Even with the 14-year age difference between Kwon Sangwoo and Yoona, Yoona said, "I don't feel the age difference at all" and with laughter, she says, "On the set, he takes good care of me."

This is Yoona's first mini-series project. Her previous project was "You Are My Destiny", where she played Saebyuk and worked hard and questions her concern of "This has been a part of my worries". She honestly said, "I'm trying to completely change myself into Yoojin, and as I'm acting, I think 'Oh~We're kind of similar'".

On the other hand, on May 3rd, Yoona will also be starring in the "MBC Sunday Sunday Night - Horror Film Factory". It is a new corner where the SNSD members are planning to give a shot at acting.

She said, "Ever since we've been trainees, my members and I took acting classes before...so we have been slowly preparing" and "I don't think I can do anything (for them). Everybody is so talented...I will also be making appearances in the 'Horror Film Factory'", she revealed.

On this day, Yoona was wearing eye-catching white sandals and her sweet atmosphere made her look even more neat and simple. Beside Yoona was Kwon Sangwoo, who said, "Around the 7th~8th episode, Yoona started to play with her hair more". He explained his anticipation by saying, "I think Yoona will be changing her image soon."

5 in a Row for Girls’ Generation

9-member girl group Girls' Generation picked up their 5th consecutive K-Chart win at KBS2TV Music Bank this evening, 13th February with their hit single Gee. They were up against Daesung's trot single Daebak Ya! and SS501 Boys Before Flower song Because I'm Stupid but still managed to eke out a win. The win also meant that Girls' Generation have now equalled the Wonder Girls consecutive wins with So Hot in the middle of last year. The girls should now aim for Jewelry's record of 7 consecutive wins with Baby One More Time set around the same period as what Girl's Generation are doing now. Certainly achievable.

The girls said in their acceptance speech, "Thank you to everyone who showed us love. And I want to say I love you, especially to our fans." Jo Kwon of 2AM later joined in with them as they performed an encore of Gee. I really have nothing to say about that.

Girls’ Generation Taeyeon injured on KBS Music Bank

Girls' Generation / SNSD member Taeyeon was injured on the February 6th edition of KBS Music Bank. The injury occurred during their "Gee" performance with pyrotechnics / fireworks. During the performance, one of the fireworks shot up and hit Taeyeon in the face. The girls immediately stopped performing and rushed to her, along with the managers. You can see the video below captured on fancam by TaeyeonHK:




As much as we like to joke about things around here, we don't want anyone to get hurt... Especially sweehearts like Taeyeon. Fortunately, she wasn't seriously hurt. In fact, she was good enough to perform again for the second take. She was also good enough to perform the encore when they won first place for the 3rd time in a row. They should be more careful with those pyrotechnics during performances, I'm just glad that no one was seriously hurt.

After School gets shafted by Music Bank

Newly debuted Girl Band After School seems to be experiencing some bad luck recently.

Barely last month the group's leader, Park Ga Hee was revealed to be the ex-girl friend of Dong Bang Shin Ki's Micky Yoochun, her cyworld was spammed with so much bashing she ended up closing the page down.

Now the girls were not invited on KBS's Music Bank for the special episode filmed on January 30th.

After School's management stated:
"We received a call on the 29th that After School should not attend the January 30th episode of Music Bank. We're assuming they didn't have enough time to fit our girls into the show, but we were never given a reason."

Rumors speculate this change was due to Girls' Generation fresh comeback to Music Bank after the ban on all SM artists. As the rumors go Music Bank wanted to make more time for SNSD and therefore decided to cut down air time for After School.

An entertainment analyst recently stated his disappointment, delivering yet another low blow to After School:
"Female groups are focusing way too much on sexiness and looks these days. This type of behavior can actually backfire on them and be harmful to their careers. Singers should focus on actually singing and obtain popularity through the proper methods."
