SHINee Jonghyun receiving surgery on his leg were delayed

News of SHINee’s Jonghyun receiving surgery on his leg were delayed in being reported to the media.

Jonghyun previously injured his left ankle on October of 2010, after the group was rushed by fans at the Jakarta airport upon their arrival. Although he thought it was okay, further examinations showed that he required surgery.

Jonghyun received surgery on his left leg at a hospital in Seoul on January 17th. Through Star News, a representative of SM Entertainment revealed on the 20th, “Jonghyun received surgery on the 17th, and it concluded safely. He’s currently in good condition.”

Due to his recovery, he will not be performing at the “20th Seoul Music Awards” (scheduled for the 20th), and SHINee will be performing as a four-member group.

SM Town Live in Tokyo without Jonghyun due to his leg injury

A message was left saying:
Thanks for many applications for SM Town Live in Tokyo. SHINee Jonghyun, who was planning to perform at the concert, cannot appear due to his leg injury. We are very sorry for the news but ask for your understanding. The other 4 members (Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin) will be starring in it.

JoKwon,Sungmin and Jonghyun are the 'Christmas Boys'

2AM's Jo Kwon, Super Junior's Sungmin, SHINee's Jonghyun will take part in Star King's special Christmas segment, "Christmas Boys."

The Star King episode will air on the 19th and the group of boys will perform the popular song My Love by Westlife.

Some of the audience members of the show expressed, "This moment was a very emotional one. One would not understand the degree of emotion if they were to not see the segment."

SHINee member Onew gives a shocking confession that he had once been distant with fellow member JongHyun

SHINee was on SBS Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate aired on 12th December, when Onew revealed that. He added that his personal talent was ‘living body gag’ and he imitated JongHyun’s voice on the spot, rousing laugther from the audience present.

JongHyun said, “Because of the voice imitation, Onew and I reconcile our relationship which was growing distant.”

Meanwhile, on the show, the group revealed that their ideal type is MC Kim JungEun, and they reenacted parts of drama ‘Lovers In Paris’ on the show.

He is currently showing a fast recovery!

SM Entertainment had a phone call with Newsen on the 4th, stating:

He is currently receiving Tamiflu and other treatments in his home. He wasn't in a serious condition to begin with and because of his strong and fit body, he is showing a fast recovery. The hospital estimated that he will be fully recovered within a week."

But they assured that his health condition is not very serious currently. He is currently resting at the hospital and receiving treatment for it.

JongHyun was said to have developed symptoms of flu on the night of 2nd November and was sent to the hospital for examination. And on the 3rd it was confirmed that he is down with swine flu and he has been resting at the hospital since.

Meanwhile, JongHyun is the 4th case of swine flu amongst the Korean entertainers after SS501 Kim HyunJoong, K Will and 2AM Jo Kwon.

Contemporary band SHINee’s 2nd minialbum title song ‘Juliette’ shoots up to #1 on music chart just 1 day into its reveal.

Ahead of the album release on 21st, the song was revealed on 18th, and the song went up to the popular chart on Cyworld at the #1 position in just 1 day for 19th May.

The song is a remake song of Corbin Bleu’s ‘Deal With It’ and the lyrics is written by member Jong Hyun.

Jonghyun has graduated from School of Music with a Honorary Degree, meaning his school decided to waive certain graduation requirements due to his busy schedule.
