SHINee is coming to Taiwan without Jonghyun

free image hosting

Korean artists coming to Taiwan is becoming the trend. Having just visited the country last year-end, SHINee just revealed that they will be taking KE 691 to Taiwan on the 10th, arriving at 11am. They will be participating in a special (Chinese) New Year programme called 超級巨星紅白藝能大賞 (Superstar red-white entertainment award) which will be held at the Taipei Arena. Unfortunately, SHINee will be travelling without Jonghyun due to his leg injury.

First time filming for a special Chinese New Year show in Taiwan, the SHINee members all feel very excited yet raised a lot of questions such as “What is the difference between Taiwan and Korea during Chinese New Year?” When the Taiwan record label explained to them that red packets are used, they all felt shocked and said “We use white in Korea..“. However, because this trip will be very rushed and missing 1 member, SHINee hopes that they can visit Taiwan again in the future to experience the Chinese New Year atmosphere.

After they finish the recording, they are estimated to leave on the 11th at 12:10pm via KE 692.

free image hosting

Actress Shin Se Kyung did not attend her boyfriend’s two-day concert, held on January 1st and 2nd.

Much attention has been put on her attendance, since it was revealed late last year that she was seeing SHINee’s Jonghyun. SM Entertainment eventually responded, “We’ve been informed that Shin Se Kyung will not be attending SHINee’s concert today (Jan.2). She is filming for her movie, ‘Blue Salt‘, with Song Kang Ho.”

Meanwhile, SHINhee managed to gather over 20,000 fans for their first concert since their debut two years and seven months ago. Jonghyun, who has a leg injury, had Chinese trainee Issing take his place during a portion of his performances. Jonghyun greeted, “I’m glad to be able to spend the New Year with my fans. It’s a great start this year.”

SHINee ,going to make their official Japanese debut in next year

free image hosting

Via tokyohive:

Today South Korean boy band “SHINee” held their first concert in Japan at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo and have announced that they are going to make their official Japanese debut under “EMI Music Japan” in March 2011.

In 2008, they were awarded Rookie of the Year in South Korea.

Since then their popularity has kept on growing and now they are going to follow their fellow idol groups to Japan to expand their fandom even further.

Even before their debut they are already a big number in Japan. Within one month more than 100,000 people applied for a ticket for their performance today. In the end, 24,000 lucky people were able to see the five members of SHINee today. They performed two shows, which adds up to about 5 hours and 60 songs. There is no doubt that this must have pleased their Japanese fans.

Member Jonghyun still wasn’t able to fully perform with the others due to an injury on his left foot. “I’m sad that I can’t perform as much as I want, but at least I’m able to stay on stage with the others,” he said in tears.
