Lady Jane revealed that Tony An apparently got drunk very quickly

The March 31st episode of MBC’s ‘Night of Shining Memories‘ saw a bunch of veteran idols get together as representatives of the original idol era. H.O.T.’s Moon Hee Jun, Tony An, and g.o.d’s Son Ho Young, Danny Ahn and Kim Tae Woo appeared alongside T-ara’s Hyomin and Lady Jane.

The story came out after Lady Jane mentioned how she had dreamed of becoming a star like her idols, H.O.T. She then moved on to talk about how she had always wanted to meet Tony, and she finally got the opportunity at boyfriend Simon D’s housewarming party.

She revealed that Tony An apparently got drunk very quickly, and started saying that he wanted to eat ramen. When Lady Jane made him some ramen, he said it was delicious, and then accidentally spilled it all over the place. It was quite the shock for Lady Jane as she watched Tony crash and burn; she had envisioned her idol to be much more cool and aloof in person.

Tony An is a fan of T-ARA's Eunjung

During a recent recording of KBS 2TV’s “100 Points out of 100“, singer Tony An confessed that it was because of T-ara’s Eunjung that he was able to withstand the hardships of his time in the army.


He eventually confessed that he was an avid fan of T-ara and that his favorite song of theirs is “Like the First Time“. Turning to Eunjung and Soyeon, he asked them to perform it on the spot, to which they readily agreed.

Tony joked, “Despite Soyeon being a fixed cast member of the show, I am only just now starting to see her as a T-ara member!”

Tony An's father passed away

On January 25th, representatives of Tony An’s agency, TN Entertainment revealed that his father (70) had passed away earlier this morning after battling cancer.

He was recently admitted to the intensive care unit at Seoul National University Hospital due to his worsening conditions. An was said to have stayed by his side, despite his busy schedule.

An once briefly talked about his father on a broadcast program, and revealed, “My father is currently in the intensive care unit and is in severe condition. Even while coming out to film today, I wondered whether it was okay for me to laugh and have fun like this on air. It feels so wrong as his son.”

A representative of his agency stated, “Tony An always emotionally prepared himself, but he has fallen into great sorrow at the notice of his father’s sudden death.”

His father’s wake will be held at the Asan Medical Center.
