Lee Min Jung,revealed that she closer with 2AM's Seulong

Actress Lee Min Jung recently opened up about her surprising relationships during an appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Relay – Guerilla Date.”

On January 1st, she revealed that she has gotten closer with 2AM’s Seulong after he chose her as his ideal woman, and even chose him as the person she sends texts to the most. She then introduced Brown Eyed Soul’s Jung Yeob as a close friend she often goes out drinking with, impressing many with her close ties to the music industry.

When asked about whether she knew she’d become the top star she is now, she replied, “I never knew I would become a top star. But you do have to become a ’star’ in order to film in projects you want. My family is always careful with me, and although they have positive views, there’s a lot of concerns.”

At the mention of her sweeping various rookie awards at the year-end awards ceremony in 2010, she replied, “Actor Um Tae Woong told me, ‘You must be happy, why don’t you give me one?’”

Lee Min Jung’s segment was concluded with her New Year wish, in which she stated, “I’d like for my new projects to achieve great results and to hopefully meet my life partner. I want to take on stronger and more depressing roles this year. It’d be great if I could star in a movie like ‘Once.’”

Lee Min Jung, best known for her role as Gu Jun Pyo’s fiancée in popular drama "Boys Before Flowers", was originally the female lead in G-Dragon’s MV for his first solo album. However, she gave up the opportunity and instead, starred in newbie group December’s MV.

As G-Dragon’s "Hearbreaker" album is enjoying record-breaking sales and extreme popularity, netizens were naturally curious about the reason behind Lee Min Jung’s decision.

In reply, December’s agency CS Happy Entertainment said that ‘Before Lee Min Jung became popular, she starred in Zia’s MV ‘Violin’. Hence, she was grateful for the opportunity we had given her then and hence decides to star in December’s MV.’ It was then said that the schedules would clash and that she would be unable to take part in G-Dragon’s MV.

Lee Min Jung in a SBS Drama 'Please Smile' on 10th October

Just like her fellow co-stars in Boys Over Flowers, actress Lee Min Jung has been experiencing an upswing in her career and will soon be starring in her first female lead role in a SBS drama.

Lee Min Jung has been cast as the female lead, Seo Jung In for new SBS weekend drama, Please Smile which will be aired on 10th October, replacing Style. SBS said on the 5th, "After going through our shortlist, we decided on Lee Min Jung to be our female lead. The other leading and supporting roles are still being discussed." It's understood that actor Ji Hyun Woo and actress Kim Min Sun are among those being considered.

Please Smile is about a wealthy family who becomes penniless overnight and has to seek refuge at the house of their chauffeur who had served them for many years. Lee Min Jung plays the second daughter of the wealthy family and is someone who is self-centered and insensible.
