Park Jiyoung revealed the reason behind the elimination of Lee Kikwang while he was still an JYP trainee.
On KBS-2TV broadcasted on the 21st, Park Jiyoung made an awkward laugh when MC Kim Seungwoo asked, “If Kikwang was a JYP trainee, why did he end up debuting under a different management?”
To this Park Jinyoung stated, “When I first saw Lee Kikwang, I thought both of his dancing and singing skills were excellent. However he did have one negative side.”
He added, “It was disappointing to know that Kikwang thought that he was talented himself. A trainee needs to be focused and always leave a room for improvement, but I feel that Lee Kikwang knew by himself that he was talented on his own.”
Then he revealed, “Now, after hearing that he is working harder than anyone else, I called him separately before and told him that ‘I was really proud of hearing that he is working hard now’.”

Full letter from JYP Entertainment regarding Jaebeom

As previously reported, Park Jaebeom is now confirmed to have permanently left 2PM. We released a small excerpt from the full message earlier, and now have an uncut translation of the entire letter for our readers.
In the past few hours, the kpop world has simply exploded with not only grief but confusion due to many theories and news reports that point in all directions. allkpop works around the clock to provide you with the fastest news, but we also value quality and accuracy as well, and hope this full statement will help our readers understand the convoluted matter at hand.
We at allkpop have translated the whole letter, which was posted on JYP Entertainment’s official website, into English here:
Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. Last September, 2PM’s member Park Jaebeom announced his withdrawal from the group and returned to Seattle after a message he wrote on the internet during his trainee days caused backlash. We will now reveal what course of action will be taken. Although the message that became an issue last September upset many people, it was written during Jaebeom’s tough trainee days on his personal page. At the time, the company agreed with Jaebeom when he asked to take some time for self-reflection. We did not think that this meant that he would stop all activities in the entertainment industry or that he would leave 2PM. The company had the option of forcing Park Jaebeom to stay and continue promoting with a 7 member 2PM. However, although netizens exaggerated Jaebeom’s words through mistranslations, his words still had the potential to hurt many people. Because of this, we did not want to endorse Jaebeom and force him to continue promotions because it might have damaged his image permanently in the public eye, and so we agreed with his decision to return to the States. When a celebrity makes a mistake and does not apologize for his / her mistake or if the company endorses that celebrity, the public view of that celebrity becomes more negative and it was in the company’s thoughts that letting Jaebeom withdraw from the group for self-discipline would be good. Thankfully, after Park Jaebeom left the country, an outpour of support gave him another chance. After Jaebeom’s leave, we did not release any additional information because we did not want the public to be influenced by malicious sources. Since Park Jaebeom’s return to Seattle, the company has searched for vocal, dance, and acrobatics teachers, and the company producer JYP went personally to Seattle to talk to these teachers and formulate a program. All recent CF’s, performances, promotions and contracts that have involved 2PM have been made with the mindset that the group would eventually have all 7 members present after Park Jaebeom’s return and so we waited for his comeback. In November, 2009, the company proposed that Park Jaebeom make his comeback through an album that would have been released this year in April, and Park Jaebeom had agreed to these plans. The plans called for Jaebeom’s return to Korea on the third week of February and a press conference would have been held before promotions as a 7 member 2PM began. Because of the support he received from the public after his withdrawal from 2PM, Park Jaebeom’s return would have improved 2PM’s efforts and most importantly we would have been able to receive the complete support of the fans once again. The company and the group had high hopes. However, if the news of Jaebeom’s comeback were revealed too quickly, we felt that the public would once again be negative. Although the fans criticized the lack of information from us, we did not reveal any plans for the comeback. On December 22nd, 2009, Jaebeom confessed to Jung Wook, a representative, that he had done something wrong during the Again and Again promotions. Apparently, it was far more serious than his MySpace controversy. The six other members were not notified then as they were busy with year-end activities. On January 3rd, 2010, we all sat down for a discussion and came to an agreement 3 days later that it was no longer possible for Park Jaebeom to continue activities along with 2PM. We thus decided to terminate our exclusive contract with Jaebeom. Although we wanted to release this information as soon as possible, Park Jaebeom’s personal situation prevented us from revealing this information until now and we hope you understand. We would like to emphasize that all the information above is true in its entirety. We are revealing these details through this message now because if we had lied and gave false information, we would have lost any trust that we held with the fans. To 2PM and all the people who waited for Park Jaebeom’s return, we apologize deeply and are sorry to have to reveal this sad news to everyone. The company and the remaining 6 members will prepare even harder and greet you with a better image. Thank you.

2PM holds fansigning on 27th January, fans relay ‘2PM is 7 members’ message
2PM held a fansigning on 27th January in Seoul KangNamGoo MarketO ApGooJung store, and the members shook names and gave autographs to about 500 fans.
2PM has recently been chosen for the model for MarketO. And to get a glimpse of the 2PM members, about 1000 fans had arrived at the fansigning venue since early that morning.
The 2PM members appeared in casual style. And fans were also seen holding placards with ‘Waiting for Park JaeBum’, ‘2PM is 7 members’ written on them during the event.
Recently there has been speculations about Park JaeBum’s total withdrawal from the team, and many fans present at the fansigning want to relay the message that they will always be waiting for Park JaeBum’s return.
Meanwhile, recently ending their 1st album promotions, the 2PM members are currently focusing on their individual activities like MCing and acting. Member TaecYeon has also been casted for ‘Family Outing 2′ and also drama ‘Cinderella Sister’ alongside actors like Moon GeunYeong, Seo Woo, and Cheon JungMyung.

With rumors surfacing on 2PM Jaebum’s complete withdrawal, Hottests and other 2PM fanclubs have gone on the offense against their agency, JYP Entertainment.
Fans were especially disturbed after Wonder Girls’ Sunmi’s sudden leave on the 23rd and have made conclusions that the next target will be Jaebum. Wonder Girls fans have made the official statement against JYPE stating that they are against Sunmi’s withdrawal and the joining of a new member.
2PM’s fans are now beginning to come together out of anger and rage after finding out about the rumors. 2PM fans believe that JYP will make an announcement stating that Jaebum’s health issues will not allow for his return evidenced by the groundwork effort of JYP forcing Jaebum to put a halt on all of his bboy activities last year.
They have also reached conclusions on Jaebum’s possible complete withdrawal with the newest CF contract that the 6 members of 2PM are now endorsing. Since the contract’s terms state 1 year, 2PM fans are believing this to be evidence that they are now excluding Jaebum from all of the group’s future activities. Taecyeon’s cast into SBS’s Family Outing 2 and KBS 2TV’s Cinderella Sister is also being interpreted as the process in which the leader of 2PM is changing from Jaebum to Taecyeon.
A Hottest that has requested to remain anonymous stated, “There are rumors circulating that JYPE will be announcing Jaebum’s complete withdrawal in the beginning of February. We are now discussing a group movement against his withdrawal and for his return.”
On this matter, JYP Entertainment has stated, “These are groundless stories. We ask the fans to wait for us.”
Another associate stated, “The fact that Jaebum will return through 2PM has never changed. It’s just that the time for his return and how he will return is not yet decided. There has also been reports that Jaebum has filmed for a music video. It was a false report. Fans do not have to be shaken by this news.”

Jaebeom is returning with a music video?
Many rumors regarding 2PM's leader Jaebeom have surfaced in the past day, and Newsen has a few more for us!
Today, it was reported that Jaebeom completed a filming session for a music video in the United States. Many predict that this footage is preparation for Jaebeom’s comeback to Korea. One entertainment related source stated:
The music video features Jaebeom as the main character. It looks like they are going to release the music video soon and officially state Jaebeom’s return.
Although many believe that Jaebeom will definitely return, others think that Jaebeom may return to Korea to restart his career as a solo artist instead. Along with the solo artist rumor and Jaebeom starring in a Hollywood movie Hype Nation speculation, word’s gotten around that Jaebeom might be a permanent member of MBC’s Come To Play.
After denying yhe press conference, JYP Entertainment again stated that nothing has been decided yet. These are just rumors so readers should have reservations about everything that’s being released right now. But who knows? Anything is possible.

JYPE to hold press conference on Jaebeom
Metroseoul released an article in regards to JYPE holding a press conference on the 24th, where they will most likely release information on Jaebeom’s return or official leave.
hazyfiasco@2ONEDAY translated the article:
2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment will be making a company announcement on the course of action for Jaebum. An associate stated that JYPE will be holding a press conference on the 24th, although the actual content of the conference is not yet revealed.
There are two possible topics that the conference could touch on. 2PM Jaebum’s complete withdrawal or a return sounds like a reasonable guess since the company’s official stance has been much requested.
First, the possibility for Jaebum’s return is that the public and press alike believe that it is the perfect time for his return. The boycott stance that the fans took after Jaebum’s leave last September has put much pressure on the company.
On the 15th, 2PM’s gyopo fans even put out an ad in a Los Angeles newspaper, proving that the interest and attention of fans have yet to be answered and that JYPE must come out with an official statement. On the 17th, 2PM also completed their first album promotions and there is much hope that Jaebum will be a part of their coming album release.
However, apart from these speculations, there lies a heavier weight on the fans. The press conference was originally set to be on the 21st but since it was the day of 2AM’s album release, the conference was delayed to the 24th after their STV ‘Inkigayo’ comeback performance.
It appears to be a tactic to prevent bad news in the face of 2AM’s return, as the company fully knows that 2PM fans alike are supporting 2AM. Although there has yet to be an official announcement or background on Jaebum’s complete withdrawal, should JYPE reveal it on the 24th, the music world will surely be shaken up again.
Jaebeom to star in Hollywood movie?
It’s just been revealed that 2PM’s leader Jaebeom has received love calls to be the male lead in the b-boy Hollywood flick, Hype Nation.
We’ve heard a lot about this movie already, with BoA and Son Dambi, who were both supposed to star in it, but later declined or pulled out.
Anyway, the producer of the movie apparently informed JYP Entertainment that they want Jaebeom to be the lead male role for Hype Nation and that JYP Entertainment is currently reviewing whether or not to take the offer.
However, when Newsen requested information from JYP Entertainment regarding this matter, JYPE responded with, “We don’t know about this.”
But who knows, maybe they will reveal this along with the news that everyone is waiting to hear at the press conference on the 24th.

2AM’s third teaser featuring Jinwoon released!
After Seulong, another individual MV teaser for 2AM’s comeback song was released. This time, it featured the group’s resident maknae, Jinwoon.
Lying on an open field of grass, an emotional Jinwoon sings “Although I’m young, the pain is the same.” Through the brief excerpt of the song, he flaunts his soothing and distinct vocals that are no less impressive that the other members’.
check this out:
The title of the track which can be roughly translated as Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die. Based on its name alone, it’s probably safe to assume that the song isn’t all flowers and unicorns.
Regardless, JYP Entertainment is doing a great job of getting fans hyped for the full MV and song. Stay tuned as another teaser featuring one of the two remaining 2AM members will be released soon. My bet is on Changmin. What say you?

2PM will release new album in April
Although 2PM's comeback last November was controversial to say the least, the idol group took music charts, Hottests’ hearts and the entertainment scene by storm with their album 1:59PM
JYP Entertainment recently announced that the boys would be ending album promotions very soon, but it looks like the boys won’t be out of the spotlight for long – the group will be releasing an album in April 2010!
Details haven’t been released, but this new work is sure to be quite promising with a unique concept. If the boys are able to rock the polka-dot-zombie-pigtail look that we all know from Heartbeat, what can’t 2PM accomplish?
Make sure to stay tuned for more only at allkpop and 2OneDay Forum.

2PM will end promotions this week
Though it's only been a week since 2PM started promoting Tired of Waiting, it seems like their promotions are coming to an end. On the 10th, they will have their last day of promotions for their "1:59" album.
A JYP Entertainment representative said, "The 'Tired of Waiting' performances were something we did to conclude to their promotions. This week, we want to end promotions."
This is sad news for Hottests, but the boys will be back soon, better, faster, and more stronger. However,Everybody must be upset and hope to see a lot more of Tired of Waiting promoted on stage. Not to mention, 2PM has not appeared on variety programs either so we don't even get to see their faces very often.

Park Jin Young wishes to quit producing

On the radio broadcast he said:
"It feels good to be back on the radio after such a long time. I'm so happy I can sing the songs that I like and that people recognize me as a musician and not just as a producer and CEO. I really only want to be a musician next year."
JYP delivered the good news of the popularity that the Wonder Girls have gotten after appearing on FOX TV's So You Think You Can Dance. He also chose this particular radio show to appear on because Park So Hyun has been a good friend of his since his debut 15 years ago.
"My dream is to retire my duties as a boss in June. I've already sort of stopped my duties as the boss of JYP Asia and instead, I've been working as JYP USA. I've been very busy in America with my duties as a road manager. I want to finish up activities of all JYP artists by June and just focus on dancing and singing. I want to just spend the rest of my life making music. I'm most happy when I perform as a musician."
