Boom miss 2PM and Super Junior

Boom revealed after f(x)’s “2010 Friends APEC Goodwill Ambassador” held on 29th January in Seoul. He told reporters present that he misses the colleague celebrities whom he did not get to meet after he entered the military.

He said, “Even though I haven preparing to enter the military for a long time back, because I could not tell those around me, entering the army had seemed like very sudden. I cannot say that there was no regrets since I’m doing well on broadcast shows, but I thought as a Korean this is due duty which I have to serve.”

He added, “But it was really a shame that I could tell my colleagues before hand about entering the military. I miss Lee Teuk and Eun Hyuk, and I also really miss 2PM. I really miss the original Boom-academy. I also miss all the seniors like Lee GyeongGyu, Kang HoDong, Kim YongMan etc.”

“Also Lee SeungGi said he would visit, but he hasn’t done so.” relaying his affection to colleagues on SBS variety show ‘Strong Heart’.

But when asked if there is any competition amongst all the upcoming idols prominent on variety shows, like Jo Kwon, Lee Teuk, Eun Hyuk and ShinDong, Boom said, “There is no competition at all. I guess there will be all the talk about it after I finish my military service. But I’m not scared at all and I’m watching.”

Boom reported for his military service on 27th October last year.

Boom won the Newcomer Award today at the SBS Entertainment Awards. He attended though he's currently serving in the army. When Hyunyoung asked him to say something to his girlfriend he said, "Our So-Pa-Pa."

Netizens have investigated further and are guessing it's the nickname of Soyoung. Before he left for the army he said, "I begged my girlfriend on my knees to wait for me." After he went into the army he said, "I got 17 letters from my girlfriend already."

On the November 14th episode of KBS 2TV show Champagne, Boom saying: "Ever since her debut, it's always been her." He also added how he admires how she manages her current life in the media along with her studies.

When asked "While you're in the military and you feel a bit down, let's say you have a photo of someone in their pajamas to comfort you; who would you want the star of this picture to be?"

Boom's answer was yet again Soyoung. Boom concluded by saying that, "I hope she visits me while I'm in the military."

Boom will be go to Military Service for next year

Boom will be reporting at the 102 Replacement Depot in Chuncheon for his basic military training on the 29th. After six weeks of training, he will then serve his nation for the next 22 months and is expected to be out by 2011.

A representative for Boom said, "Although the enlistment notice came rather abruptly, Boom is gearing himself up and is ready to serve his nation for the next two years."

Earlier this month, Super Junior's Leeteuk had spilled news regarding Boom's dating relationship on a filming of Strong Heart. However, ever since that incident, Boom had not mentioned anything about his girlfriend nor about his relationship status. But on the 16th, Boom expressed how much in love he was through Section TV by stating, "This time, it's not a rash love. It's not rash and we're meeting very sincerely."

In response to a question MC Kim Yong Man asked, he answered, "My girlfriend told me she liked my passionate lifestyle and humor. It's only been about 5 months since we dated, and I told her that I loved her and she told me that she loved me too."

When Kim Yong Man jokingly asked, "If your girl and I both fell in the water, who would you save? Who would you save between Hyun Young and your girl?" Boom answered, "I would save my girl of course."
