December Yoon Hyuk has been diagnosed with H1N1

Vocal duo December will be postponing their activities, as member Yoon Hyuk has been diagnosed with H1N1 (a.k.a, ’swine flu’).

On January 12th, his agency revealed that Yoon Hyuk was admitted to the hospital with a high fever and severe coughing. They stated, “We weren’t able to contact Yoon Hyuk on the 11th, so his manager went to his house and found him on the floor with a high fever. His manager carried him all the way to the hospital, and Yoon Hyuk was diagnosed with swine flu. He’s currently hospitalized and is receiving treatment.”

They continued, “He’s had to juggle a schedule based off two hours of sleep a day in order to make all of his broadcast and concert appearances. His immune system has weakened due to fatigue. Until he fully recovers, he’ll be focusing on his treatments. December’s broadcast appearances will be postponed until then.”

December won Cyworld's Rookie of The Month

It has only been a month since the rookie duo December debuted, yet they won Cyworld's "Rookie of the Month." They will receive their award on the 13th, at Dome Art Hall, located inside Children's Grand Park.

Regarding their award, they commented:

Thank you everyone for all the love and support. We will store all of this in our hearts and work harder to become artists who can shake hearts through music.

December 'Dear My Love' Music Bank perfomance is in a lip-synching?

Criticism from netizens, who went to the Music Bank message boards to express their disapproval. Comments included, “They were suppose to be the new Brown Eyes… If you are going to lip-sync, at least do it right,” and “I was excited to see their debut performance and almost fell for their lip-synching because their acting was good. I felt like I was watching “Two Hundred Pounds of Beauty’ and wouldn’t have been surprised if someone else was singing for them behind the stage.”

They added“The performance was previously recorded and they performed the song twice, both times live. We actually heard them sing live and cheered them on. The reason they look like they were lip-synching is because footages from both performances have been poorly clipped into one. They sang live 100%.”

December finally released their album My Dear Lover and MV for their title song Girls Like Bad Guys.

December had been garnering a lot of attention prior to their debut as they are anticipated to be the next Brown Eyes. They will have their first performance on KBS 2TV Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketch Book, followed by performances on KBS 2TV Music Bank and SBS Inkigayo.

Representative of December's agency, CS Happy Entertainment, stated, "We were afraid of the reactions of the people who follow musical industry these days who look more at the looks as we focused on their skills rather than their looks. ... We wanted their skills to be showcased first as we wanted to reveal their faces after the release of the album, but because of the misunderstandings of netizens commenting 'stupid strategy,' and 'because their ugly,' we wanted to prove that it is all a misunderstanding. ... Now it's time to capture the publics attention with their skills."

The album which will be released on the 27th which will be on the 30th, in KBS 2TV Music Bank. After that, they will then perform in SBS Inkigayo as well as KBS 2TV's "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketch Book."
