KARA Jiyoung, talk about Big Bang Daesung on SBS Family Outing

On today’s episode of SBS Family Outing, a very flushed Daesung tried to explain that he got Jiyoung’s phone number through fellow Big Bang member Seungri, since Seungri and Kara’s Goo Hara are friends. However, Daesung kept stuttering during his explanation, so Jiyoung added, “I’ve been a fan of Daesung for a long time. I was the one who asked Goo Hara and Seungri for Daesung’s phone number.”
Jiyoung then continued, “I sent him a text message that said, ‘I want to be good friends with you,’ but in the end he never replied back,” making Daesung seem like a bad person. She also revealed that since Daesung is MC for a music program she sees him often, but every time she makes eye contact he avoids her by looking away.
When Daesung was asked why he avoided Jiyoung, the idol answered, “I was at a photoshoot when Jiyoung sent me the text message. I text messaged her back saying that I was at a photoshoot and she messaged back, ‘good luck’. It was after this that I didn’t text back because I wanted to set the boundaries between us. But I guess I was just overreacting.”
Afterwards, Daesung looked nervous and said, “I thought Jiyoung was asking me out,” causing much laughter among the Family Outing cast.

Daesung Releases "Cotton Candy" and It's a Treat
Earlier this year, we reported that Big Bang's Daesung and TOP will be venturing into the music scene with solo material and it looks like Daesung will be the first to release his music.
Daesung is not a rookie when it comes to solo projects; he released his trot single "Look at Me, Gwisoon!" in 2008 and has been apart of SBS Family Outing. Daesung also released his second trot single "Daebakiya" early 2009 during Big Bang's break from activities.
Daesung found success with his solo projects but things took a turn for the worst when Daesung was involved in a devastating car accident, preventing him to take part in the musical "Shouting!" alongside fellow Big Bang member Seungri.
Well now it looks like Daesung is ready to return to his music roots, releasing his new single "Cotten Candy." Unlike "Look at Me, Gwisoon!" which was upbeat and energetic, Daesung takes a laid back approach with this single which has an airy feel to it similar to G-Dragon's single "Butterfly." Check it out!

Big Bang Daesung will in 'Zero Plus'

In a previous statement, Yang Hyun Suk, the president of YG Entertainment, commented that they wanted to find a different member for the offered role since the part did not seem right for T.O.P. As Daesung has had some acting experience with his role in the musical ‘Cats’ in 2008, he would seem to be the perfect candidate for the role. Plus, the character he will be playing is a student who hopes to become a musical actor. Coincidence? Maybe, but who else out of the Big Bang crew could fit this role any better?!
In addition, ‘Zero Plus,’ which is about the romance and drama between students enrolled in the theatrical department of a university, was written by the well-known Song Jinah. Song Jinah has also previously written the hit dramas ‘Kaist’, ‘Sandglass’ and ‘The Story of the First King’s Four Gods’ which starred top actors Bae Yong Joon and Ko Hyun Jung. This drama is set to come out within the first half of this year, so make sure to catch it when it comes out!
