Han Hyo-Jo will join BH entertaiment starting November

Actress Han Hyo-joo, heroine of hit TV series "Shining Inheritance," will join talent house BH Entertainment starting November, according to the agency on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old, formerly with Fantom Entertainment Group, signed with BH which manages some of South Korea's top stars including actor Lee Byung-hun and actress Han Chae-young.

Actor Bae Soo-bin who appeared alongside Han Hyo-joo in "Inheritance" is also managed by BH.

Han made her TV debut with sitcom "Nonstop 5", appearing in several dramas including "Spring Waltz" which has enjoyed popularity throughout several countries in Asia.

She became one of the most sought-after actresses in the entertainment industry after "Inheritance" ended its run triumphantly in July with a 41.7 percent viewership rate.

Singer-actor Lee Seung-gi and actress Han Hyo-joo have been picked as rising ad models for the second half of this year for their starring roles in the SBS-TV drama ``Brilliant Legacy,'' which ended its run at a viewing rate of 47.1 percent in July.

A survey of 1,625 people aged 16 or over living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province showed that Lee and Han posted sharp rises in ranking, compared with the first-half survey. Brand38, a local brand consulting company, conducted the surveys.

Lee saw his ranking soar from 23rd in the first half to fourth. Han, who had not been ranked in the first half, came in at 17th.

In the latest survey, comedian Yoo Jae-suk and figure skater Kim Yu-na ranked first and second, respectively. In the first half, Kim and Yoo were first and second.

Girls' Generation, one of South Korea's leading pop idol groups, and boy band 2PM took third and seventh places, respectively, emerging from low rankings.

In contrast, traditionally high-placed actors such as Jang Dong-gun and Jeon Ji-hyun suffered sharp falls in their rankings.

Lee Seung Gi and Han Hyo Joo’s kiss scene brought an overwhelming responses from views on SBS weekend drama ‘Brilliant Legacy’.

Aired on 4th July on the 21st episode of the show, they had 35.6% of viewershiop #1 for the time slot. This is just 4.3% lower than the show’s highest record of 39.9% aired on 28th June.

After the episode, viewers’ responses were, “Hwan and Eun Sung finally kissed. But why am I more nervous than them?”, “Before their kiss scene, Han Hyo Joo’s character looked really sad in her eyes”, “Even though it is dawn now, can’t sleep because of Lee Seung Gi”, “I think the 2 of them will have happy ending”, “Because of this show, I couldn’t do anything else but to watch it.”

22-year old Lee Seung Gi is starring in a new romantic drama opposite Han Hyo Joo (and not Song Hye Kyo). This SBS drama is entitled “Glorious Heritage” (a.k.a. “Dazzling Legacy” and formerly known as “Life is Beautiful”)The drama also stars Bae Soo Bin and Moon Chae Won and will air on April 25.
