No more family outing 2 after this

It was revealed that SBS will abolish Family Outing 2 after just five months of broadcast.

The cast members and production team had apparently been notified on the 24th about SBS’s decision and an official statement will be revealed tomorrow about the replacement.

There was supposed to be a recording on the 28th next week but SBS has cancelled the scheduled recording and go without a goodbye special because they have enough footage left from the previous broadcast cancellations.

Since taking over from the largely popular Family Outing in late January, the new Family Outing 2 whose cast included Kim Won Hee, Ji Sang Ryul, Shin Bong Sun, Yoon Sang Hyun, SNSD’s Yoona, 2PM’s Taecyeon and 2AM’s Jo Kwon. It never really got going with lots of criticism and low ratings. Super Junior’s Heechul and Jang Dong Min were added only last month to beef up the fun element but there was not much improvement and SBS has decided to pull the plug on the show.

The final episode of Family Outing 2 will air early next month and it’s highly likely that Yoo Jae Suk’s new variety show will be named as the successor program.
