On 13 June morning, Goo Hye Sun has revealed the award news at her own twitter saying, “I have returned from Tokyo International Film Festival SSFF&A.” “Short film “The Madonna” has received an award. It is the “Best Topic Award”.”

“The Madonna” is Goo Hye Sun’s first debut directed work and its subject deals on an easy and painless death. While receiving attention for this work, “The Madonna” is also being awarded with “Best Audience Award” at The 2009 “Busan Asian Short Film Festival”.

On the other side, Goo Hye Sun’s own directed full length movie “Magic” will be releasing ahead on coming June 24.
