Exit “Rain,” enter “The Rain

Annyeong

Rain Corporation filed an intellectual property (trademark) suit, out of the Nevada District Court in February of 2007, against Jeong Ji Hoon (Rain), JYP Entertainment, and Star M Entertainment (concert coordinator) over the use of the name “Rain.” Both parties have finally come to an agreement and Ji Hoon will now be known as “The Rain” in all his future music related activities in the U.S. Don’t get your panties in a bunch quite yet ladies. The good news is that he is still allowed to use the moniker “Rain” outside of America and in all his acting activities. Whenever Rain’s American debut album comes out, you’ll see “The Rain” on the cover instead of “Rain.” However, you will see "Rain" and not "The Rain" in the film credits for his Hollywood movie "Ninja Assassin" when it's released.

Rain Corporation’s “Rain” is a Beatles tribute band that has been in existence since 1979. They’ve been touring the U.S. and parts of Europe for the past couple decades. Their full title is Rain: The Beatles Experience.
